Stoneview Masonry is locally owned and operated, serving Kingston and its surrounding areas. These areas have an abundance of limestone and other types of natural stone, making them easy and affordable to source and incorporate into any project. Whether it be restoring an existing structure or building something new, we take pride in every job no matter how big or small it may be.
Our Services
At Stoneview Masonry, our goal is to help you design and build (or repair) your indoor or outdoor project through an easy and enjoyable process. Although we specialize in restoration and stonework, we are a full-service company with a wide range of experience in every aspect of masonry, and hardscaping services.
Projects
Fireplaces
Whether it is a wood burning or gas fireplace, they can enhance any space. Natural or man-made stone can be installed in full size stone or as thin stone veneer.
Chimneys
To compliment any fireplace a chimney is an important structure that often is overlooked. Most chimneys are constructed of brick but in some situations they can be made of stone or thin stone veneer (where weight limitations exist).
Stone skirting
Not all projects can accommodate stone or brick from the foundation to the roof. Stone skirting can be used to veneer the base of your home to provide both functionally and aesthetics.
Flagstone
There are two main types of flagstone, the most popular type consists of irregular pieces and the other type has pre-cut straight edges. Whether it's for a path, patio, driveway or pool surround limestone, sandstone or granite can add a beautiful and durable surface to any space.
Interlock Pavers
Interlock pavers come in a vast variety of styles and colours. They can be used for pathways, patios, driveways or any space that you wish to add a new surface too. Compared to concrete (in addition to many styles and colours) interlock pavers are less susceptible to long term ware and damage, they are also less permanent and can be moved or replaced if needed.
Restoration
In order to maintain any home, restoration will eventually be required. Sometimes brick, block or stone must be replaced but most often the mortar that holds the masonry together will have to be repointed. Many homes that require this work are historical, in these cases specific rules (including no power tools) must be followed. Fortunately, quality work can approve appearance, residual value and last a life time.
Retaining Walls
In order to prevent erosion, to create more usable space or increase the appeal of an outdoor area, retaining walls are a perfect (and at times necessary) addition. Retaining walls can range from garden walls to sea walls and can be constructed with a variety of materials, including segmental blocks, boulders and natural stone.
Concrete
There are many different applications where concrete is used including stairs, slabs, footings etc. In some cases such as when retrofitting a space or when meeting specific dimensional constraints, concrete is the only option.
Custom Stone Homes
The best option for exterior home finishing is stone, particularly full stone exterior. This exterior is beautiful, timeless and the longest lasting while also adding the most value to your home. There are also many style options to choose from including limestone, a wide variety of man made building stone and thin veneer stone.
